The High N DryPaste floatant can be used on flies and leaders/tippet. It is a thicker type of gel than is usaually added on dry flies and it sticks longer than regular gel. We recomend this for foam flies or bodies of hair like bombers. It is mainly used on leaders/tippets and strike indicators.

A greased leader has many advantages in many fishing situations. After a while the leader sinks and when making a new cast the fly dives and gets wet or stuck in vegetation. Missed opportunity or tippet broken! All types of monofilament soak up water after a while, so grease up your tapered leader and tip of fly line when fishing on shallow water.

When fishing dry flies actively on the surface, such as a skating caddispattern, a well floating leader creates less pressure on fly and the result is a fly that floats better and moves easier on the surface. The product is 100% environmentally friendly, does not contain harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), and is not affected by temperature extremes.
