The Varivas fluorocarbon is the strongest on the market. Its refraction index  (1.33) compared to nylon (1.62) makes it almost invisible once immerged. Its  1.72 density compared to 1.15 of nylon, lets it sink much  faster. Recommended for fishing with nymphs, wet flies and streamers. The  larger diameters are a must for saltwater and salmon leaders. Interconnecting 30  m spools (except -2X/0X in 25 m) with spool band for line control. Our  advice: never tie nylon to fluorocarbon because the different  materials don't allow secure knots.
